Sakar Makafi Littafi Na 1 Complete Hausa Novel
With complete certainty and absolute conviction, he continued speaking.
“Wallahi, Abba, it was my brother that I saw. There is no doubt about it. Ummi, remember the last time when Farriyyha said she saw him in Canada, even I did not believe her.”
Abba released a hot breath, his mind filled with confusion and fear of the turmoil that could spread through the Al-ummah Family. He stared at his son, fully aware of his good character. He knew that what was in his heart was exactly what came out of his mouth. He knew his courage and steadfastness, and he was certain that his son could never become so confused that he would fail to recognize his own brother.
He knew that the bond between his sons, Aminullah and Mahmoud, was far too strong for one of them to mistake another person's resemblance for his brother. No matter the circumstances, they would recognize each other in any appearance, regardless of how long they had been separated.
Deep inside, he felt convinced that his son was telling the truth. He had truly seen his brother. He felt certain that his son was still alive, because his own brother had said he had seen him alive. He had not died.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un,” he murmured under his breath while staring directly into his son's eyes.
Seeing the way their father was looking at him made him rise to his feet. He turned toward the door and said as he walked away,
“Even inside me, I felt that this man was my brother. He is my blood. I know it. If I could ever forget him or fail to recognize him, then that would mean I had forgotten myself. Would that mean I could no longer recognize myself?”
Ummi spoke gently.
“But my son, where have you ever heard of a dead person coming back to life? You and your father placed him in his grave with your own hands. He died in your father's arms. You know it and I know it. He died. Think carefully and remember what happened in the past.”
He only shook his head, still overwhelmed by the certainty that he had seen his brother. Then he walked out and pulled the door shut behind him.
She turned her gaze toward Abba and said,
“Why do I feel as though you also believe that he really saw him? A dead person can never become alive again.”
Alhaji Umar Muhammad Hamman Al'ummah released another extremely hot breath, deeply troubled by the thought of how he could untangle the complicated web he himself had created.
Now it appeared certain that his son was alive, and his brother was already following his trail step by step. What could possibly happen when the truth finally emerged? What kind of chaos would erupt around them? And how would he ever untangle the web he had created with his own hands?
