He slowly placed them on Nas’s head while folding his arms across his chest like someone analyzing something carefully.

Nas smiled and quickly withdrew his eyes from Maheer’s intense stare. He looked at about 40 grams of cocaine on the table that had been packaged into small white plastic sachets. There was also a tiny white tester bag containing a small amount of cocaine.

He reached out, picked up the small bag, opened it and said,

“Whose coke is this, Pablo?”

He pinched one side of his nose and inhaled the cocaine. His body shook slightly as he trembled and exclaimed,

“Oh my God!”

He closed the bag again and placed it down while stretching his body a little.

“But this coke that arrived yesterday from Mexico… honestly it’s good. I can feel it deep inside my bones. Wallahi, it scattered my brain cells; it feels like they’re all running around as if someone released flies among them.”

He said this while smiling and trying to open the small bag again to take a second sniff.

Maheer shot him a sharp look.

Immediately Nas stopped, closed the bag again and quickly put it down.

“You don’t get high on duty. I know, boss!”

With a calm, commanding charisma, Maheer simply said,

“Good.”

He continued with what he was doing.

Just then an iPhone 14 Pro Max, customized in gold and lying on the table, began to vibrate. Maheer glanced at the screen briefly, then ignored it and continued his work.

Nas, whose head was already beginning to spin slightly from the small amount of cocaine he inhaled, looked at the phone screen and smiled.

He turned to Maheer and asked,

“So… when is Boss coming back?”

Without looking at him, Maheer replied,

“Don’t you have her number?”

Quickly Nas said,

“But the whole empire knows you’re her favorite, so I know she must have told you.”

Still without looking at him, Maheer said coldly,

“Get up and leave my office.”

Nas hurriedly replied,

“Boss is obsessed with you, honestly. You yell at her. Imagine—you even boss her around like you’re the one who owns the empire. Even though I know you two are partners in business now, she’s still the one who brought you in just like she brought the rest of us. What’s so special about you that she listens to only you, even though there are more than two hundred men working for her, not counting the external ones who run operations for her?”

He said this while watching Maheer, who looked completely uninterested, as if he hadn’t heard anything.

Nas squinted again and looked at the phone. It was the fifth call coming from the same number saved as Hajiya.

Just then someone knocked on the door.

Maheer lifted his head slightly without speaking and pressed a button on his chair. The door unlocked and opened.

The club manager entered, dressed smartly in a black suit. With respect he approached and greeted Maheer.

“Sir, we need XTC (Ecstasy – methylenedioxymethamphetamine, MDMA) and Liquid X (Gamma-hydroxybutyrate – GHB). We’ve run out of everything that was brought out earlier today. Our guests tonight are more than any other Friday.”

Nas quickly said,

“Wasn’t the last dose of Liquid X already brought out earlier?”

Slowly, Maheer stood up and pushed his chair backward. He picked up a Glock 17 Gen 4 from the chair and tucked it behind his waistband.

Then he began walking with authority and confidence like a king.

Nas and the manager quickly followed behind him like attendants.

He opened the office door and went out, climbing the stairs while they followed him. Upstairs was where the supply room and the club’s kitchen were located.

Maheer handed the manager two boxes of XTC and said,

“Let me make the Liquid X come back in the next 30 minutes.”

The manager quickly asked,

“You’re going to prepare it yourself tonight, sir?”

Nas smiled and said,

“You’re looking at a chemist.”

The manager smiled and left.

Maheer then entered a very large kitchen. From the look of it, it was clearly used mainly for preparing drugs rather than food.

He picked up a black apron and tied it over his clothes.

Then he took a pot and began filling it with water…
